MARVAB After Dark
The argument that heavyweight fleece belongs at dinner — provided everything under it is sharp.
There is a version of this piece that never leaves the house, and there is this one. The difference is entirely in what sits below the hem.
A leather skirt and a heel. A wide-leg trouser with a hard shoe. Washed Black rather than Bone, because after dark the colour should recede and let the shape carry it. Push the sleeves once, not twice.
Worn this way the hoodie does the job a good coat does: it makes the rest of the outfit look deliberate by contrast. Good taste looks better on you when it looks like it took no effort.
The only thing we would avoid is a set. Top and bottom in one fleece is the Sunday version, and it does not translate to a nine o'clock table.
